Institute Perspectives had the chance to participate in the CRITICAL REFLECTION ACADAMY in Balestrand, Norway from 3rd to 12th June 2024.
Due to the professional trainers and experts in youth work Andreea-Loredana Tudorache and Elena Stevkovska from A.R.T. Fusion Association, Romania and coordinated by Tuba Ardic, director of Creative Connection, Norway, the Academy was organised for participants from Slovak Republic, Romania, Italy, Serbia, Bulgaria, Poland and Hungary.
We increased our competencies in:
- understanding of different theoretical models in the context of critical reflection practices in the youth work field;
- reflecting deeply on our personal history in youth work,
- identifying patterns and tendencies, and find ways of skillfully transforming these where needed;
-managing conflicts for reaching joint decisions and meaningful communication with others;
We drew upon the sources of nourishment and inspiration that support our engagement for helping us realize the great potential in the youth work field by integrating successful collaboration;
As a result, we got a toolbox of different reflective methods transferable into youth work practices to be able to better accommodate different individual needs. Now we are confident about being able to work more effectively and ready to deal with unknown futures, stress and uncertainties with a feeling of empowerment and emotional resilience able to implement creative solutions 'outside' the box; The new acquired competencies will be implemented in the future projects of Institute Perspectives, including the partners we established connections in the current workshop.
